Picture Day
When is Picture Day at my school?
Legacy Studios picture day dates are scheduled by your school in partnership with our team. You can contact your school directly or look for flyers sent home with your student.
What should my child wear?
Legacy Studios recommends solid colors and minimal patterns. Avoid shirts with large logos or neon tones, as they may distract from your student’s smile. Dress for confidence—it shows!
What background options can I choose from when preordering for my underclass student's fall pictures?
Legacy Studios offers 6 of the industry's most sought-after backgrounds for our underclass picture packages. These professionally designed options give your child’s photo a timeless, polished look. Can siblings pose together for school pictures?
In some cases, yes. However, during fall picture day, each student is required to
take their own individual photo since it’s used for school records as well as
the yearbook. Some schools offer sibling photos in the spring or during special
holiday programs. The best bet is to check with your school directly to see if this is an option.

What picture packages are available?
Legacy Studios has photo packages for every family and every budget.
From classic prints to digital downloads and fun keepsakes, there’s something for everyone!
Package options are available on your school’s pre-order form or online.

Can I customize my photo package?
In many cases, yes! At Legacy Studios, our online ordering system makes it easy to mix and match packages, add enhancements, and choose add-ons to fit your needs.
Ordering & Payments
How do I place an order?
Placing a pre-order is super easy!
1. Search for your school by name and school code.
2. Select the school, and you will find the various options available for pre-order.
3. Add the desired products to your cart.
4. Fill out the short form with your student information and continue to the checkout page.
5. Complete the checkout process by providing your contact and billing information. Legacy Studios accepts all major credit cards.
What payment methods are accepted?
Legacy Studios accepts most major credit cards online. When ordering by envelope, you may use cash or check. Please don’t combine payments for multiple students in one envelope. Ensure the exact amount is included, including sales tax if applicable. Change is unable to be provided on Picture Day, as photographers do not carry cash.
I missed the preorder deadline—can I still order?
Yes! After Picture Day, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to view and purchase your student's photos online—as long as the school has provided us with your email address.
Just a heads-up: orders placed after Picture Day will no longer qualify for pre-order pricing and will be available at regular prices.
Can I order for multiple students in the same cart order?
You will need to purchase each student separately. This ensures that the information you provide about your student is correctly associated with each order.
Once you complete one order, please return back to the home page and repeat the process for any additional students.
Can an order be changed or canceled?
Once an order is placed online, the order is unable to be changed or canceled. Please contact our customer care team for assistance at customercare@legacystudios.com.
I do not want to order an entire package. I only want a specific print size. How can I place that order?
Please visit your school order page to see what options are available for purchase.
Can I exchange sheets in my package for other sizes?
Unfortunately, our packages are set and cannot be altered. Check your school order to page for options to purchase additional print sizes a la carte.
How long are the pictures available to order online?
You can pre-order up to 24 hours before picture day. Post picture day, your photos will remain in your Legacy Studios user account as long as your school is partnered with Legacy Studios.
Returns & Exchanges
I'm not happy with my child’s photos. Can I get a refund or exchange?
We’re truly sorry to hear you’re not satisfied—your happiness is important to us. If you’d like to request a refund or exchange, please return the original photo package to the address below.
Be sure to include a brief note requesting a refund or exchange, along with:
- Your child’s full name
- Their school name
- Your return mailing address
- Your original order number (if available)
- You may fold the photos and send them in a regular envelope.
- Please also include $6 for return shipping (check or cash is accepted). If paying by check, kindly make it payable to Legacy Studios.

Delivery & Makeup Pictures
When will I receive my pictures?
Pictures typically ship to your school within 3 weeks after Picture Day. Digital
products may be delivered via email or instant download, depending on your
order.
Please check your spam folder for digital downloads as they sometimes get filtered there.
What if my child missed picture day but I paid for pictures online?
We completely understand—sometimes things don’t go as planned. If your student missed Picture Day, they can still have their picture taken on Makeup/Retake Day, which is coordinated by your school (usually 3–6 weeks later).
Please check with your school for the scheduled Makeup Day, and have your student bring a copy of the online order receipt to hand to the photographer.
If a Makeup Day is not available or has already passed, please reach out to our Customer Care Team at customercare@legacystudios.com
and we’ll be happy to assist you.
What if I’m not happy with my child’s picture?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy, you can have your
student’s photo taken again on makeup/retake day.
Have your student return the picture package to the photographer at the camera on makeup day.
When is Makeup/Retake Day?
Makeup/Retake Day is coordinated by your school, typically 3–6 weeks after the original Picture Day. Check with your school to find out the scheduled date.
My package is incorrect. How can I Fix this?
Please contact our Customer Care team at customercare@legacystudios.com with your order number and issue and we will get your order corrected.
I ordered a digital download but haven’t received it. What should I do?
We’re sorry for the inconvenience! If you purchased a digital download—or it was included in your package—and haven’t received it, please follow these steps:
- Check your Spam or Junk folder. Sometimes the email with your download link may be filtered by your email provider.
- If it’s not there, we may have an incorrect or missing email address on file.
Please email us at customercare@legacystudios.com and
include the following:
- Your student’s name
- School name
- Order number (if available)
- A note confirming that you did not receive your digital download and have already checked your spam folder
Once we receive your message, we’ll promptly resend your digital image.
Is there a makeup day for spring pictures?
Legacy Studios does not provide makeup/retake dates for spring pictures. If you prepaid and your student missed the spring picture day, please reach out to our customer care team and they will process a refund for you. Thank you for your understanding.
